ABOUT PCDOORZ | A LOVE LETTER TO THE PC WORLD
pcdoorz was created with a simple intention: to build a digital space for PC hardware, software, games, reviews, articles, guides, builds and product discovery. The inspiration comes from classic computer magazines, where articles had structure, visual identity, editorial rhythm and enough room to explain why something mattered. pcdoorz follows that idea in a modern web format. The goal is not to publish everything as fast as possible, but to prepare selected content with care, context and a consistent visual style. The website is developed by a small team based in Sarajevo. That gives the project a direct working process. Topics are selected carefully, articles are shaped manually, and the visual side of the site is treated as part of the reading experience, not as decoration added at the end. pcdoorz is focused on the PC world: hardware, games, software, builds, tools, performance, culture, older games, new releases, useful products and the long history that connects all of it.

our mission
The mission of pcdoorz is to create clear and useful PC-focused content. Technology and gaming coverage can easily become noisy. New products arrive constantly, games change through patches, hardware generations move quickly, and many readers do not want only a specification sheet or a short headline. They want context. pcdoorz tries to explain where a product, game, tool or idea fits. A hardware article should help readers understand value, purpose and practical use. A game review should discuss atmosphere, design, performance, structure and the actual experience of playing. A software article should explain why a tool may be useful, not only that it exists. The project does not aim to cover every possible topic. It focuses on material that fits the site’s scope and editorial direction.
editorial philosophy
pcdoorz follows a magazine-inspired editorial philosophy. Articles are structured, reviews are built around clear sections, and visual presentation matters. Typography, spacing, images, badges, article boxes, scores, related sections and navigation are all part of the same reading system. When someone opens a pcdoorz article, it should feel connected to the rest of the site. Content is intentionally curated. Some topics are skipped, even when they are popular, if they do not fit the platform. Other topics receive more attention because they connect strongly with PC hardware, PC gaming, software, builds, performance, design, history or user interest. The goal is not to make every article loud. Some pieces are practical. Some are editorial. Some are closer to review work. Some are short news items. Some are broader features. What connects them is the attempt to make the information readable, organized and useful.
how content is prepared
Every publication begins with research. Depending on the topic, information may be checked through official product pages, developer announcements, manufacturer specifications, independent testing, trusted media coverage, user impressions, gameplay material and direct hands-on use when available. Reviews follow a consistent structure. Hardware reviews focus on performance, build quality, usability, cooling, value, upgrade potential and overall fit for the intended user. Game reviews focus on gameplay, atmosphere, story, systems, performance, content, technical state and long-term value. Software reviews look at usefulness, stability, interface, features and whether the tool actually helps the user. Not every article is a final review. Some pieces are previews, news posts, announcements, editorials, request-based articles, guides or special features. In every case, the aim is to separate confirmed information from opinion and keep the article useful for the reader.
the structure of pcdoorz
The pcdoorz platform is organized in a magazine-style structure where each main tab has a clear role.
01 | frontpage works as the central editorial space of the website. It highlights important stories, selected articles, pcd picks, previews, top-rated reviews, announcements, polls, community-driven features and product suggestions. It is not meant to be only a simple news feed. It acts as a curated overview of the site and helps readers quickly find what is currently important across pcdoorz.
02 | pc news is the main container for published content. This section includes news, announcements, reviews, previews, articles, editorials and features connected to PC hardware, PC games, software and other parts of the platform. It gives readers one central place to follow the full editorial stream.
03 | pc hardware focuses on the technology behind the PC ecosystem. This section covers graphics cards, processors, motherboards, cooling systems, cases, storage, monitors, peripherals, power supplies, desktop PCs and related components. The purpose is not only to list specifications, but to explain what a product is for, what kind of user it serves and whether it offers practical value.
04 | pc games covers the gaming side of the PC world. This section includes news, previews, reviews, articles, specials, requirements, genre-focused coverage and editorial features. Games are discussed as products, but also as experiences shaped by design, atmosphere, performance, technical state, genre identity and player expectations.
05 | pc shop is a curated affiliate destination built around clarity and usability. Instead of presenting an overwhelming product catalog, the shop organizes PC hardware, peripherals, software and games into structured categories. It works together with related product pages, article product suggestions, PC build ideas, software picks and game-focused selections. The shop is not meant to replace research. It is meant to help readers discover products in a more organized way, connected to the topics they are already reading about.
06 | pc builds presents recommended PC configurations for different performance levels and budgets. These builds are not treated as fixed universal answers. They are guides that help readers understand how parts work together, why certain combinations make sense and what kind of upgrade path a build may offer.
07 | pc64 play is a browser-based play zone focused on older computer and PC gaming culture. It includes Commodore 64 classics, DOS titles, PC emulation and other historical game experiences that can be played directly through the site. The section exists because PC culture did not begin with modern hardware. Older games, keyboards, simple interfaces and early computer systems are part of the same story.
08 | pc64 play + expands the idea with a lighter browser-game area and quicker playable selections.
additional sections
Beyond the main navigation tabs, pcdoorz also includes several specialized sections.
09 | beyond pc covers topics that sit near the edge of PC culture. This may include selected technology developments, Windows handhelds, digital entertainment, industry topics or media stories when they connect naturally with PC hardware, gaming or software culture.
10 | classic games focuses on older titles that earned a lasting place in gaming history. These articles look at why certain games still matter, how they influenced design and why they remain memorable years after release.
11 | neoclassic games covers more recent titles that already feel important enough to be revisited. These are usually modern or semi-modern games whose reputation, influence or quality has become clear over time.
12 | pcdoorz top 5 presents editorial selections of notable products, games, software and related topics. Each list highlights five chosen options based on usefulness, research, practical value, design, performance, atmosphere or overall relevance to the category.
13 | pcdoorz special is a dedicated section for topics that deserve more than a normal news post, but are not always ready for a full final review. Specials are often used for promising games in development, unusual PC projects, Early Access titles, major upcoming releases or products that deserve a broader editorial look. In game coverage, a pcd special can work as a type of pre-review: a deeper early evaluation of why a title may matter, where its potential lies and what questions remain before release or full judgment. Some pcd special articles may include a score before score section. This is not a final review score. It is a mini-review style editorial estimate used when the subject is important enough to receive early scoring context, but not final enough for a standard review verdict.
14 | external reviews highlights selected reviews from outside authors, websites and YouTube creators. This section exists because good hardware and gaming coverage can come from different places. When outside work is useful and relevant, pcdoorz may feature it as part of a broader research and discovery system.
15 | gameplay presentation showcases selected gameplay videos, mainly from YouTube, for upcoming or notable PC games. The goal is to give readers a clearer look at mechanics, atmosphere, pacing and real gameplay before release or before purchase.
16 | software covers PC software through news, articles, reviews and selected recommendations. Topics may include operating systems, utilities, productivity tools, optimization tools, drivers, system software and applications useful to everyday PC users.
17 | free to play pc games is a curated page with selected free PC gaming recommendations. The list can change over time as new games appear, older choices lose relevance or better options become available.
18 | download zone is a practical software-focused section with selected free tools. The focus is on useful software for everyday PC use, system management, productivity, optimization and general utility.
community features and reader participation
pcdoorz is also developing systems that allow readers and visitors to influence future content.
19 | board request system gives readers a structured way to suggest future content. Visitors can request different types of coverage, including hardware review, game review, software review, hardware article, game article, PC guide, hardware test and PC build request. The system is designed as a repeating cycle. Requests can be collected, reviewed, selected, answered through future content, refreshed and opened again for new suggestions. This does not mean every request will automatically become an article. Editorial selection still remains important. But the board gives readers a clearer way to show what they want to see next, while giving pcdoorz a better signal of real reader interest.
20 | hardware polls may focus on components, upgrade habits, product preferences, build priorities or user expectations.
21 | gaming polls may focus on genres, upcoming releases, reviews, classics, technical features or player interest. Poll results are not treated as strict editorial orders. They are signals. If readers keep showing interest in a certain hardware category, game genre, software topic or guide idea, that can help shape future coverage.
22 | pcdoorz game of the year is a focused yearly feature built around selected PC games. The idea is not to create an endless popularity contest. The selection is kept readable and limited, with candidates chosen for impact, quality, technical performance, atmosphere, design or overall PC experience.
23 | the newsletter box gives readers a simple way to follow important updates. Since pcdoorz includes reviews, guides, polls, request board updates, software lists, free games, product suggestions and editorial articles, the newsletter helps regular readers stay connected without needing to manually check every section.
24 | affiliate links help support the development of pcdoorz. Some product links on the site may lead to third-party retailers. If a reader buys through those links, pcdoorz may earn a small commission at no additional cost to the buyer. Affiliate links do not control editorial opinion. Products are selected, arranged and presented manually based on relevance, usefulness, availability, category fit and the context of the article or section where they appear. The affiliate side of pcdoorz is built as a product discovery system rather than a random set of links. A hardware article may connect to related accessories. A game article may point toward similar games. A PC build may include suggested components. A software page may highlight useful tools. The goal is simple: when products appear on pcdoorz, they should make sense in context.
